Chef & Song: A delicious revel

Chef & Song organizes musical dining clubs where we commission singers and chefs to create original concert experiences intended solely for dining audiences. Through these clubs, we create vibrant, welcoming places bringing people and communities together in celebration of art, culture, community, and all things delicious.

Vision

Our musical dining clubs bolster and embolden a crossover of the culinary and performing arts that is robust, emotional, and intimate. Manifested in restaurants, bistros, pubs, and bars, this supper club culture has a unique footprint in local economies, creates the third places that anchor neighborhoods, and fosters shared experiences people carry with them for a lifetime.

History

In 2015, a group of friends started hiring local artists to perform in their favorite restaurants. In three evenings, the group welcomed 240 guests, hired a total of eight artists, and increased menu sales 25%. Chef & Song dinner concerts became a popular tradition for hundreds of Dallas-area foodies and music lovers. By the time the COVID-19 lockdown stymied further growth, Chef & Song had 1000 patrons, invested in a chef-owned restaurant, and had plans for creating standalone hotspot locations in divested communities.
